Project 1: 42 Ferry Rd, West End QLD – $11 million

cost planner and quantity surveyor
A complex of 36 apartments including two penthouses at the top floor; built in 2009-2010
Our role on the project was cost planner and quantity surveyor, from the schedule design stage to actual completion.

We provided cost planning services (estimate on DA drawings and estimate on BA drawings) to clients to control the total project cost within the preset budget and applied value management on the project to create the maximum value. For example, we suggested that the developer change the stone feature finishes to normal rendered finishes on the facade and upgrade the quality of appliance to increase the final product’s valuation.

During the construction stage, as the Bank’s quantity surveyor, we visited the site regularly and made progress claim verifications for the bank. We dealt with variations and kept them within a reasonable range. We worked with other consultants and main contractor to deliver the project on time, on budget and per original design.

Moreover, we provided insurance replacement cost estimate and sinking fund reports to the Body Corp as well as tax depreciation schedules to the final buyer/ investors.

Project 2: 118-124 Rockfield Rd, Doolandella – $12 million

estimator and quantity surveyor
69-townhouse development including land subdivision, park, road and services; done in stages in 2010-2013

Our role on the project was estimator and quantity surveyor, from the schedule design stage to actual completion.

We provided cost planning services (estimate on DA drawings) to clients to control the total project cost within the preset budget and consulted on the lump sum contract.

During the construction stage, as the Bank’s quantity surveyor, we visited the site regularly and made progress claim verifications for the bank. We verified the variations and kept them within a reasonable range. We worked with other consultants and main contractor to deliver the project on time, on budget and per original design.
